a life.. without my car.
Posted on April 23rd, 2008 @ 8:40 pm

Since I’m so used to bringing my car almost everywhere I go (especially on duty and school since I live hours away from there), not having it for a day is totally, extremely, tiring! LOL. I’m not used to riding public vehicles anymore (specially where you have to compete with other people and run so you can ride an FX, get what I mean?) I feel so fatigued, hungry, dirty, and everything, but I’d rather take public transportation that car, why?

Gasoline price here is like global warming. Getting worst every day. :wtf: So bringing it on duty would cost me P500/day for gasoline + P500 for my allowance for that day. Equals P1000/day and mind you, I have classes everyday making it P5000/week. And I have classes for 6 straight weeks, how much is P5000 x 6? You do the math. That’s how expensive it is if I bring my car with me everyday. So for now, goodbye car. I’ll miss driving you.

gas is very expensive here too. And what sucks is that the public transit isn’t very good because when they first designed the roads, they did it with cars in mind, not buses. But I try to make myself feel better by telling myself that I’m saving both my money and the environment.. haha. :wide:

Ps. Hey there. I have to delete the comment you made in my last post. It is not the comment. Nothing is wrong with that. In fact I really appreciated your comment. It is me. I accidentally posted it in a post instead of a page. So I have to delete the post and all the comments under it. Im so sorry. O.O

I do not drive my own car. I got a driver. Sometimes the driver drives me to school, other times I ride the jeep or LRT. I think it is good to be able to ride both and learn not to get sick from riding them. Coz just like you said, when you keep on riding a car, you’ll feel dirty when you commute to a place. Haha. :D

Gasoline are super expensive. The president keep telling us it’ll go down but all it did in the past weeks are ups!

Gah, gas prices are going up everywhere now. Food prices too =( I cringe everytime I pass by a gas station now and I’m planning a 700-mile road trip down to the beach. And oh man everytime I go grocery shopping, it seems like everything just keeps going up and up. College students don’t have money. This is just cruel and unusual punishment =(

Oh gosh, I know what you mean! Since I live outside of the main city now, I have to depend on my car to get into the city and do groceries, etc. I hear ya though, the gas prices are just ridiculous right now. I heard by summer, it’s supposed to reach 1.40 this summer in Canada. I bet the States will go with it as well.

I agree gas is ridiculously priced. I won’t even drive to campus next year; I’ll take the bus. Better for the environment and free to college kids :D so it works out for the better on all fronts. Besides–save on gas AND don’t have to buy parking permit. Heck yes.

  31. 31
    Kendra Says:

WOW. I haven’t even experienced 37 degrees in my life. I can’t imagine how it is.

Yeah, gas prices are skyrocketing! My poor teacher was telling us that it costs him $10 per day of gas to get to work, since he lives an hour and a half drive away. But you’re just not going to drive your car for a little while, aren’t you? You’re not getting rid of it, right?

  32. 32
    Karun Says:

aw!!! super mahal :chin:nga ng gasoline price ngayon.. grabe ang laki ng nagagastos muh almost 5000 a week .. ,pero masasanay ka na ren jan pero mtagl tagal pa yun cguro hehe :bleh:

Petrol has always been really expensive here in the UK, so driving has never been an option for me, I’ll always just be using public transport :P I know what you mean about feeling dirting when using it , it’s the worst on the Underground though it’s really gross.
Maybe you could drive one day a week? Then you won’t have to miss it :)
