a life.. without my car.Posted on April 23rd, 2008 @ 8:40 pm
Since I’m so used to bringing my car almost everywhere I go (especially on duty and school since I live hours away from there), not having it for a day is totally, extremely, tiring! LOL. I’m not used to riding public vehicles anymore (specially where you have to compete with other people and run so you can ride an FX, get what I mean?) I feel so fatigued, hungry, dirty, and everything, but I’d rather take public transportation that car, why?
Gasoline price here is like global warming. Getting worst every day. :wtf: So bringing it on duty would cost me P500/day for gasoline + P500 for my allowance for that day. Equals P1000/day and mind you, I have classes everyday making it P5000/week. And I have classes for 6 straight weeks, how much is P5000 x 6? You do the math. That’s how expensive it is if I bring my car with me everyday. So for now, goodbye car. I’ll miss driving you.

April 24th, 2008 at 1:07 am
April 24th, 2008 at 1:32 am
gas is very expensive here too. And what sucks is that the public transit isn’t very good because when they first designed the roads, they did it with cars in mind, not buses. But I try to make myself feel better by telling myself that I’m saving both my money and the environment.. haha. :wide:
April 24th, 2008 at 1:38 am
yeahhh gasoliine prices have been rising here in New York too! A few years ago they didnt even equal a dollar/gallon..now its almost 4$ per gallon! Stupid George Bush :right:

Ps. Hey there. I have to delete the comment you made in my last post. It is not the comment. Nothing is wrong with that. In fact I really appreciated your comment. It is me. I accidentally posted it in a post instead of a page. So I have to delete the post and all the comments under it. Im so sorry. O.O
I do not drive my own car. I got a driver. Sometimes the driver drives me to school, other times I ride the jeep or LRT. I think it is good to be able to ride both and learn not to get sick from riding them. Coz just like you said, when you keep on riding a car, you’ll feel dirty when you commute to a place. Haha. :D
Gasoline are super expensive. The president keep telling us it’ll go down but all it did in the past weeks are ups!
April 24th, 2008 at 12:02 pm
Oh my, that’s so expensive, as for me having a 500 allowance for a week. :ryt: I know you could get used to riding public vehicles. :)
April 24th, 2008 at 1:41 pm
mahal na talaga yung gasolina ngayon.. but maganda pa rin yung may car kasi hindi mo na kailangan mag siksikan sa ibang tao sa jeep/fx dba? maraming benefit talaga.. well, sana sis youll get used sa pag commute.. kaya mo yan! hehehe.. :wide:
April 24th, 2008 at 2:55 pm

Mh, I know it can be pretty stressing to go in public vehicles but sometimes it’s good for me since I walk to much and lose some weight
;D
April 25th, 2008 at 12:15 pm
April 25th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
Gah, gas prices are going up everywhere now. Food prices too =( I cringe everytime I pass by a gas station now and I’m planning a 700-mile road trip down to the beach. And oh man everytime I go grocery shopping, it seems like everything just keeps going up and up. College students don’t have money. This is just cruel and unusual punishment =(
April 25th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
omg! 1000 a day? nakuu, baka mahimatay na ang mama ko nyan. well may baon is 500 a day, minsan hinihingi ko nalang is 300, half day naman eh, kawawa naman magulang ko nyan.. and buti nalang wala akong car. hehe, tyak mamumulubi talaga kami pagnagkataon.
April 25th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
April 25th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
1000 a day? Ang laki ng baon! Hoho. HAHA. :)) tiis tiis na lang ate. ILY ?kate
April 26th, 2008 at 6:16 am

-xoxooxox-
April 26th, 2008 at 2:41 pm
That is also not just going to save you money,, but you will also be helping to lessen the effects of Global warming..
Kudos for you!!!:wide::hee:
April 27th, 2008 at 1:44 am
Oh gosh, I know what you mean! Since I live outside of the main city now, I have to depend on my car to get into the city and do groceries, etc. I hear ya though, the gas prices are just ridiculous right now. I heard by summer, it’s supposed to reach 1.40 this summer in Canada. I bet the States will go with it as well.
April 28th, 2008 at 7:41 am
Wow, I feel you though. Gas prices are ridiculous!

:sigh:
April 30th, 2008 at 2:38 am
I agree gas is ridiculously priced. I won’t even drive to campus next year; I’ll take the bus. Better for the environment and free to college kids :D so it works out for the better on all fronts. Besides–save on gas AND don’t have to buy parking permit. Heck yes.
April 30th, 2008 at 10:55 am
WOW. I haven’t even experienced 37 degrees in my life. I can’t imagine how it is.
Yeah, gas prices are skyrocketing! My poor teacher was telling us that it costs him $10 per day of gas to get to work, since he lives an hour and a half drive away. But you’re just not going to drive your car for a little while, aren’t you? You’re not getting rid of it, right?
April 30th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
April 30th, 2008 at 11:08 pm
Petrol has always been really expensive here in the UK, so driving has never been an option for me, I’ll always just be using public transport :P I know what you mean about feeling dirting when using it , it’s the worst on the Underground though it’s really gross.
Maybe you could drive one day a week? Then you won’t have to miss it :)
